Admission Requirements
The requirements for admission eligibility to the Program are the following:
- proficiency in the Spanish language and knowledge of the English language
- completion of baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- GPA > 2.85
- five prerequisite introductory courses of three credits each in economics, algebra, finance, accounting, and statistics (approved with A or B)
- interview (including an oral case study student assessment)
- Minimum composite evaluation score of 70
Admissions Procedures
- The UPR-MSC Office of the Registrar receives all applications and reviews them based on eligibility requirements.
- These are then sent to the Student Affairs Office, which screens and refers them to the Health Services Administration Program Admissions Committee.
- Faculty of the Health Services Administration Admission Committee interviews all eligible prospective students and delivers its recommendations for admission to the Department of Health Services Administration Chair.
- The Chair makes the final recommendations to the Dean, who recommends admission to the UPR-MSC Chancellor, where the ultimate decision for admission is made.
- Eligible students for admission must have a composite admission index of 70% or higher.
